Nutrition Services

Mobile Food Pantry

The Area 10 Mobile Food Pantry program seeks to provide nutritional assistance to homebound individuals by delivering supplemental groceries once a month. Our aim is to assist those in need with access to supplemental food and nutritional education so that they can better maintain an independent lifestyle.

Eligibility

Individuals who are homebound and are income eligible can receive our services. To be considered homebound, individuals must not be driving and must not be living with someone else who drives.

Donations

The Area 10 Mobile Food Pantry actively seeks donations of frozen and nonperishable food items. These items are bagged and delivered monthly to individuals who are unable to go to the grocery store or other food pantries due to physical limitations. If you or your organization would like to host a food drive, please contact us.

Volunteering

Our services could not run without our dedicated volunteers who meet once a month to bag and deliver the groceries. We are always actively seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with donations, bagging, sorting and delivering groceries. All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and volunteer drivers must pass a background check.

Pet Food Program

Through generous donations from the Monroe County Humane Association, we are able to provide our food pantry patrons with food for companion cats and dogs. We also welcome drop off donations from the public for dog and cat food.
