Restorative Yoga for Better Sleep (Traditional Floor & Chair Options!)
August 11th and 25th
Traditional Floor Option: 4-5pm
Chair Option: 5-6pm
Restorative Yoga is a slow and gentle practice anyone can do and benefit from. The class typically consists of 4 to 6 positions that are held 3 minutes or more with the support of props. This practice helps reduce stress, calms the mind and body, boosts immune systems, balances nervous systems, helps digestion, helps flexibility, and aids in better sleep.
Props you’ll need for this practice: 3 throw blankets, 2 blocks (stacks of books tied together or small books in shoes boxes both work in place of blocks), 2 large pillows. Optional prop: chair; homemade eye pillow (rice tied in a sock with lavender essential oil lavender oil). In addition to Instructed by Michelle McVicker, Floor and Chair Yoga instructor.
