Congregate Café Meals
Socialize with friends while enjoying a meal and participate in games or other programs. A $2.50 donation for each meal is requested but not required of all participants over 60 years of age. Donations go directly back into the meal program and help us provide meals for more people.
More Than A Meal (Home Delivered Meals)
The Area 10 Nutrition Program, More Than a Meal, serves homebound seniors and people with disabilities who are either unable or have great difficulty getting out of their homes and obtaining and cooking food for themselves. Our goal at Area 10 is to help seniors stay in their homes as long as it is possible and desired. Sometimes something as simple as a hot meal can make that possible. We call the program “More Than a Meal” because the service isn’t just about food. Three days a week, meals are delivered by dedicated volunteers to homes in Monroe County and Owen County. The volunteers provide the personal connection between the clients and Area 10.
Mobile Food Pantry
The Area 10 Mobile Food Pantry program seeks to provide nutritional assistance to homebound individuals by delivering supplemental groceries once a month. Our aim is to assist those in need with supplemental food and nutritional education so that they can better maintain an independent lifestyle.

Volunteer
The majority of our meal routes are currently delivered by our dedicated volunteers, keeping our program costs low and ensuring that quality food arrives consistently at the door of those who need it. We are always actively seeking enthusiastic volunteers to deliver meals or groceries, help at Congregate Café meal sites, assist with donations, bagging, and sorting. Groups of students, co-workers, friends, and/or family are welcome. All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and volunteer drivers must pass a background check.
